Gold jewellery should always be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off — perfumes, lotions and hairspray can dull its shine over time, especially on pieces with gemstone settings.
Store each piece separately in a soft cloth pouch or a lined jewellery box to prevent scratches from contact with other jewellery. Chains in particular should be stored flat or hung to avoid tangling and stress on the clasp.
Clean gold jewellery gently with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear. For a deeper clean, a mild solution of warm water and a few drops of mild soap, followed by a soft-bristle brush, works well for plain gold pieces without delicate stone settings.
We recommend having your gold jewellery professionally polished and inspected once a year — many of our pieces come with complimentary lifetime polishing, so do reach out to Webbot to arrange a refresh.
